To make this a little more fun I will try to do this in a more interesting fashion.
Who am I? – My name is Donte Jiggetts and most of my friends call me Jiggs. I currently work in the IT field as a Quality Assurance Engineer. I started my career as a software developer doing java based coding for some companies that paid me enough to keep doing it :). I graduated from James Madison University in Fall 2011. While there I majored in Computer Science, minored in Philosophy, pledged Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., made friends, and learned so much more outside the classroom than I ever could have imagined. I also made some amazing lifelong friends.
Where am I from? – I was born and raised in Richmond Virginia. The majority of my life there was spent in the Southside but I did live in Church Hill for about 5 years of my life as well.
Anything interesting about me? – My mom has always been a cat lady so I grew up with many cats. I also had a couple dogs and a hamster growing up. I love animals in general though I have no pets at the moment. I like a multitude of things from anime, manga, sports, video games, movies, philosophy, and people with common sense.
Why am I blogging? – I was never a huge fan of my own writing if I can be honest but years back a friend of mine named Asia convinced me to start writing as a way to share a lot of what she called my interesting views. I decided to give it a try and I had absolutely ZERO expectations. As I started sharing my blog posts I was very surprised to find that people enjoyed my writings as much as they did. Now I am embarking on a journey to be more open and share my posts with a larger audience on a more consistent bases.
